Have you ever wanted something so bad but your parents just won’t go for it? Try pitching it! I wanted to go to Disneyland so so sooo badly but my parents were pretty skeptical about it so I decided to try and come at it from a different angle. I learned a lot from watching so many pitches with Pitch-a-kid but I still needed good reasons to convince them. I wanted to show them why, when, where, and how much dinero and do some of the work for them. So I “googled” a Wikihow page and it pretty much just told me to consider all aspects of why they might say no.
So then I “googled” the price and location of what we needed so my parents wouldn’t have to do all that work. When I did this, I made one thing easier for them which gave my idea more appeal. The appeal is one thing you want to focus on when trying to convince anyone to do anything.
You have to make sure you are doing good research or else the results will leave your parents disappointed. If they are disappointed you most likely won’t be able to do what you wanted to do in the first place! If you are a little confused, below are some of my slides of the presentation so you can see what I’m talking about:
At the end of the presentation, I asked them “What do you think? Are you ready to go to Disneyland?” And they said “Yes!”
So now you know how I convinced my parents to go to Disneyland with the power of pitching! If you want to learn more about how to pitch or about the process of creating this presentation make sure to contact us and let us know!
